This link is to a page that talks about how global warming is real and how it is raising the average heat of the Earth every year. The audience of this article is every living person on the Earth since we all are effected by a rising temperature. Particularly this is geared towards people who have the power to vote to change regulations on carbon emissions. Logos and Ethos were both used in this article one way or another. The article lists off factual numbers from data to support their claim that the temperature of Earth is indeed rising. Ethos is used when the article refers to Gavin Schmidt, director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, and quotes him since he is an expert on the topic. The median of this piece is a standard article written by an online science journal but has a map of the heat intensity of Earth at the topic to first grab the readers attention. The mode of the article is an online science journal called KQED Science. The style of this article is very standard and clear cut, which makes sense since Science itself tends to be the same way. However, the picture at the top of the screen makes it very interesting to a perspective reader. I could see this article being developed into a Podcast Q&A with experts on global warming. It fits perfectly, the public learns more about the effects of global warming while being engagded in a fun activity.
